This workshop will focus on the execution of Lavagnino’s contemporary ballet aesthetic.
The female dancer is of central interest; the ballerina can be conveyed as independent, strong willed and physically dynamic. The class will incorporate a ballet barre to prepare the dancer for the full range of movement and dynamic variation of the choreography. Specific phrases will be introduced - both technical and performative information will be relayed to each dancer as they explore the material. Company members will participate each day, lending their experience and knowledge of the choreography.

This workshop will be for female ballet dancers
and it is strongly suggested that they bring pointe shoes.

Company Retreat at The Yard at Martha's Vineyard

Cherylyn Lavagnino and dancers will use this retreat to create material for a new ballet in the beautiful setting of The Yard at Martha's Vineyard.
